Behavioural Consultations

At Little Revel End Training and Behaviour Centre we offer help, guidance and information to owners of the smallest puppy to the largest adult dog.

Behavioural consultations may be required for more serious problems that cannot be remedied in a training class. Our aim is to provide advice and instruction that will satisfy your requirements and rectify the problem so that you and your dog can live in harmony.

Behavioural problems are many and varied, all types of unwanted behaviour problems are addressed including:

  • Aggression
  • Separation anxiety
  • Destructiveness
  • Fears and phobias
  • Inappropriate toileting
  • Excessive barking
  • Chasing livestock, cars, cyclists, ...
Smile!

Our Behaviourist and Kennel Manager, Rhoda Burdett MSc, BSc (Hons) graduated with a degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare from the University of Edinburgh. Rhoda successfully competes at both agility and obedience with her own dogs. She started working at Little Revel End in 2003 and takes some of the group training classes as well as the one to one sessions and the behavioural consultations.

A typical consultation consists of an initial meeting in our training room, where the dogs' general routine and specific problems are discussed. If the dog requires training as part of the modification programme then this can be carried out in our training paddock during a follow-up appointment. Subsequent one-to-one sessions can be arranged where needed and full telephone support is available.
